Kenza Oulaghda – Morocco

Weaver, President of Association Tithrite

My name is Kenza Oulaghida. I am a woman from a small town that is named Ait Hamza in the commune of Gigou. I am one of the women in a cooperative here. My work is weaving. I work with other women in fabrication (of hand-woven products, rugs, etc).

I work in a group of sixteen women, and I have a partner in the education (and marketing) about the fabrication here in Ait Hamza in our association of 150 women. In my association (Kenza is President) I try to help women learn how to design and make products that will help them earn for their families.

I don’t speak English well, but I hope people will recognize the quality work we do here in our commune of Ait Hamza in Gigou in the government district Boulemane. I hope people come and see us here in our small town. And I say to everybody, “Welcome, welcome, welcome.”
