Andra Panduru – Romania

Visual Artist

My name is Andra Panduru. I am from Bucharest, Romania. I teach anatomy for artists in Bucharest at the University of Arts. I can say I am first an artist and, after that, a teacher.I prefer to be an artist. The media I prefer was first tapestry, and from tapestry I became interested in installation, installation related to tapestry and thread. Always I like to paint; I like colors, and particularly landscape.

I prefer to be an artist first because when I work, for me, it is the best moment of my life. I am happy and all bad in the world doesn’t exist for me in that moment. For that, I am glad to be an artist and not anything else.
