Lojze Kalinsek - Slovenia

My name is Lojze Kalinsek. I come from Slovenia, a new European artist in Europe. In the middle of Europe, we are all in all two million people, but as a fact I must mention there are a lot of artists in Slovenia.

My art discipline is painting, mostly. I also try sculpture and a lot of photographic works. I also design for some other projects, but this is minor. Most of all, I paint, even in my head, everywhere around. So I would like to say these art camps I find very important for my environment, for my work, for my projects. Wherever I go, I try to imply myself into the project (art camp) as much as possible, so afterwards when I come back, I feel happy like coming from a big family, much more rich with the experience I share with other people. And I always promise to myself that I come again and again—so a never-ending story, I hope.
