Jean Renel Pierre-Louis My name is Jean Renel Pierre-Louis, but my friends call me “Prensnel-o”. I’m a painter, and I teach people. I have been living in the Dominican Republic, teaching art, but I see here in my country (Haiti) we have a lot of people-- my brothers and sisters--who need support. And I ask myself, “Why do I spend all my days, my life, over there when here in Haiti people need me? So I choose to come to give my hand in my country. I am from a small village near Petit Goave, a city of Haiti. My mother lives there with some of my family. I have fifty-eight young children who are my students. I teach them painting and drawing. I hope God will give me a chance to have an art school there, because they don’t really have people to support them, but they are really talented. That is the reason I returned to Haiti, to work with the Haitian people. Email: jeanrenelp@yahoo.fr |
